Vegetable kati roll,is my most preferred lunch box dish. It can be packed and carried easily. You can prepare any filling of your choice.
INGREDIENTS
WHEAT FLOUR- 2 1/2 CUPS
SALT TO TASTE
WATER FOR KNEADING
OIL- 2 TSP
CORIANDER POWDER- 2 TSP
RED CHILLIES- 1 TSP
CUMIN SEEDS- 1 TSP
OIL- 1 TBSP
MAIDS FLOUR- 1TSP
LIST OF VEGETABLES
CABBAGE SHREDDED- 1 CUP
CAPSICUM- 1 NO
ONIONS- 2 NOS
CARROT- 2 NOS
MINCED GARLIC- 1 TSP
MINT LEAVES- 1/4 CUP
CORIANDER LEAVES
METHOD
Knead chapati dough and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add 1 tbsp oil. Add cumin seeds. When it starts to splutter add minced garlic,onions,salt and saute .
Add other veggies,mint leaves and saute well. Add red chilli powder,coriander powder and saute till the raw smell of the spice powder evaporates. At last add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Allow the sauteed ingredients to cool. Mean while pinch out the chapati dough and divide it into equal sized balls.
Roll chapatis and keep it aside. Heat a skillet and transfer the rolled chapati and take out when it is three fourth cooked.
Place the filling in the centre of the chapati.Close the sides and the bottom seal the bottom using maida flour paste.
Heat a skillet and transfer the stuffed chapatis and cook till you see brown specks on both the sides.
