PLANTAIN STEM KOOTU


PLANTAIN STEM- 2 MEDIUM SIZED

Wash and chop plantain stem to cubes. Remove the fibre thread  while chopping . Boil the chopped stem cubes and keep it aside.

                                                                                           
MOONG DHAL- 2 TBSP

TURMERIC POWDER- 1/2  TSP


Steam cook moong dhal and keep it aside.



INGREDIENTS TO GRIND

URAD DHAL- 4 TSP

ONION- 1 NO

TAMARIND- GOOSEBERRY SIZED

GARLIC CLOVE- 5

CUMIN SEEDS- 1/2 TSP

RED CHILIES- 5 NOS

COCONUT GRATED- 1 TBSP

SALT ACCORDING TO TASTE.

OIL- 1 TBSP


In a pan heat oil add all the ingredients (in the column to grind) saute well and grind to paste and keep it aside.

 

 

SEASONING


OIL- 2 TBSP

MUSTARD- 1 TSP

CURRY LEAVES 








PREPARATION

In a pan add oil add the ingredients cited for seasoning and over this add the ground paste saute well add salt, turmeric powder  then add the boiled plantain stem over this stir for a while then add the steamed moong dhal and cook for 3 minutes and switch off the stove.Garnish with cilantro.
