MOR KOZHAMBU ( Iyengar brahmin Style)




INGREDIENTS

TOOR DHAL-  5 TSP



URAD DHAL- 5 TSP

METHI SEEDS- 1 TSP

ASAFOETIDA- 1 TSP

RED CHILIES- 5 NOS

GREEN CHILIES- 2 NOS

COCONUT GRATED-1 1/2 TBSP

GINGER- 1/2 INCH 1 NO

SEASONING

OIL- 2 TSP

MUSTARD -1 TSP

CURRY LEAVES-1 SPRIG

OTHER INGREDIENTS
ANY VEGETABLE- ASH GOURD/LADY,S FINGER/ BRINJAL

TURMERIC POWDER

CURD- 2 CUPS

SALT ACCORDING TO TASTE

OIL- 1 TBSP


PREPARATION
Soak toor dhal in warm water till soft.In a pan add 2 tsp oil and roast urad dhal,grated coconut,green chilies,red chilies,asafoetida,ginger and soaked toor dhal and grind the sauteed ingredients to paste using little water and keep it aside.Mix the paste with the curd and dilute the paste.In a pan heat 1 tbsp of oil and saute the veggie for 2 minutes.Then pour the curd mixture over the veggie add salt,turmeric powder and heat for 2 minutes don't boil for longer time.At last add the seasoning.
