INGREDIENTS TO ROAST AND GRIND

TOOR DHAL- 2 TSP

URAD DHAL- 2 TSP

GRAM DHAL- 2 TSP

MOONG DHAL- 2 TSP





DHANIYA SEEDS- 4 TSP

RED CHILIES- 8 NOS

PEPPER- 1 TSP

SESAME OIL- 3 TSP

CURRY LEAVES- 1 SPRIG

FENUGREEK SEEDS- 1 TSP


RAW RICE- 1 TSP


SESONING

SESAME OIL- 4 TSP

MUSTARD- 1 TSP

ASAFOETIDA- 1 TSP


CURRY LEAVES- 1 SPRIG

OTHER INGREDIENTS

LADY'S FINGER- 7 NOS

GREEN CHILIES- 2 NOS

TURMERIC POWDER- 1/2 TSP

SALT ACCORDING TO TASTE

TAMRIND-  LEMONN SIZED


PREPARATION

Extract tamarind syrup and keep it aside.In a pan dry roast fenu greek seeds and rice and keep aside.In the same  pan heat 3 tsp sesame oil and roast all the lentils along with dhaniya seeds pepper,red chilies and curry leaves till the lentils turn golden in colour and switch off. Now take all the roasted ingredients along with roasted fenugreek and rice and grind to powder.

Now add 5 tsp of cooking oil in a pan add chopped lady's finger and saute along with slit green chilies till the veggie turns crisp.Now pour the tamarind syrup over it add salt turmeric powder and heat till the raw smell of the tamarind syrup goes off.Now slowly add the powder and water and keep stirring to avoid lumps at last add the seasoning to the kozhambu and serve. It will serve 5- 6 people.
