THINAI VERMICELLI  - 2 1/2 CUPS

OIL 2 TBSP

 

ONION  2 NOS



GREEN CHILLIES- 3 NOS



GINGER GRATED-1/2 TSP


ASAFOETIDA- 1/4 TSP


MUSTARD SEEDS- 1 TSP



URAD DHAL-  1 TSP



CURRY LEAVES.

 
SALT ACCORDING TO TASTE.















PREPARATION


Soak 2 1/2 cups of  vermicelli  in 2 cups of water with salt for 2 minutes. Then drain the vermicelli in a strainer and keep it aside.Take the soaked vermicelli in a steamer and steam for 10 minutes.Idli plate can also be used for steaming.Transfer the steamed  vermicelli  to a plate and allow it to cool. In a pan add oil add mustard seeds when it splutters add urad dhal asafoetida chopped onion, salt curry leaves , chopped green chilies saute well.Over this add steamed vermicelli.
