MOR KOZHAMBU (Tirunelveli Style)

INGREDIENTS TO ROAST AND GRIND TO PASTE

URAD DHAL- 8 TSP

FENUGREEK SEEDS- 1 TSP

RED CHILIES- 7 NOS

COCONUT GRATED- 2 TBSP

In a pan heat 4 tsp oil and roast urad dhal.red chilies.fenugreek seeds till dhal turns light brown and other ingredients turn crisp .Allow it to cool and grind along with coconut to paste using little water.

OTHER INGREDIENTS

DRUMSTICK(Ashgourd,brinjal can also be used) - 2 NOS

THICK CURD (slightly sour)-2 CUPS  Whisk the thick curd with water

SALT ACCORDING TO TASTE.

OIL FOR COOKING-1 TBSP

SEASONING

COCONUT OIL- 4 TSP

MUSTARD- 1 TSP

CURRY LEAVES-1 SPRIG
                                                                             
PREPARATION

In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and saute boiled drumstick for a minute.Mix the ground paste along with diluted curd and pour the mixture over the drumstick  add salt  and keep stirring for 3-4 minutes and don't boil for long time after adding curd mixture.Switch off and add the seasoning to the kozhambu.Serve with plain rice, addai.It will serve 5-6 people.
