TOMATO KURMA

This tangy,spicy dish can be served as an accompaniment for idli,dosa,chapati. It can serve 5-6 people.It can serve 5-6 people.

FOR GRINDING

Coconut gratings- 3 tbsp

Tomatoes- 2 nos

Onion- 2 nos

Cinnamon- 1 inch

cloves- 3 nos

Garlic cloves- 5 nos

Ginger- small piece

OTHER INGREDIENTS

Chilli powder- 1 tsp,coriander powder- 2 tsp,salt to taste.

FOR SEASONING

Oil- 1 tbsp, Bay leaves-2 nos

Procedure- In a mixer blend chopped tomatoes,coconut gratings and other spices to fine paste and keep it aside. In a pan add oil add bay leaves, chopped onion when it turns translucent add ground paste,salt and simmer in mild heat.Add chilli powder,coriander powder and boil till the raw smell goes off.
